This comes as no surprise given what I have experienced before.
Recent statistics regarding vehicle crime in Seattle:
7 — The number of seconds it takes an expert thief to break into a vehicle. It often takes that thief less than one minute to drive away.
9,558 — The number of vehicles stolen in the city of Seattle in 2005.
66 — Percentage of auto thefts that occur at night.
68 — Approximate percentage of stolen vehicles that are recovered.
$5,800 — The average loss of missing parts on vehicles.
